How these tools are built
Each tool states the formula it uses, the assumptions behind it and where it stops being reliable. None of them claim a universal pass or fail value for something that depends on your process, substrate and customer specification.
If a calculation cannot be done honestly with the inputs available, the tool says so rather than producing a confident looking number. If you find a result that does not match your production experience, tell me and I will look at it.
