Training

Training is built around what a team actually does during its shift, not around a generic syllabus. Sessions are practical, run on your own equipment and substrates where possible, and are aimed at the people doing the work rather than at management.

Sessions can run on site, remotely, or as a mix. Content is adjusted after seeing the plant, because a team running flexible packaging on film needs a different emphasis from one running cartons.

Consulting

Consulting work usually starts with a specific problem and widens once the cause is clear. The first visit is diagnostic. Nothing is changed until the current behaviour of the process is understood and recorded.

Prepress workflow: how files move, where they stall, what gets checked, and what could be automated without losing control.
Colour management: measurement practice, profiles, proofing, tolerances and the records behind them.
G7 calibration: fingerprint, calibrate, verify and set up the routine that keeps it in place. Covered in detail on the G7 page.
Packaging workflow: dielines, separations, trapping and the handover between design, prepress and production.
Print quality: why results vary between shifts, presses or sites, and what it would take to close the gap.
Production improvement: setup time, waste, makeready and the specific steps that consume them.
Technical troubleshooting: recurring defects that have survived the obvious fixes.

How an engagement usually runs

Describe the problem. Process, substrate, what you are seeing, and what has already been tried. This is usually enough to say whether the problem is worth a visit or can be resolved remotely.
Assess. Measure and record the current state before changing anything. This step is not optional; corrections made without it tend not to hold.
Agree the scope. What will be done, what it should achieve, and how the result will be judged.
Implement. The calibration, workflow change or corrective work itself.
Verify. On a live job, with measurements your customer would accept.
Hand over. Documentation and operator training, so the improvement survives without me.

The last step is the one that decides whether the engagement was worth paying for. A change that only works while the consultant is in the building has not solved anything.

Scope and practicalities

Work is delivered from the UAE, on site or remotely, for printers and converters internationally. Scope, duration and cost depend on the process, the number of presses and what the assessment finds, so they are quoted after the initial discussion rather than listed as a package.

Remote work suits workflow review, file and separation analysis, measurement data review and training. On site work is necessary for press fingerprinting, calibration and anything that depends on seeing the machine run.
